Caseload: Approximately 3040 students (may vary by assignment)

Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified School Social Worker for a full-time, school-based role in Romeoville, IL. This position is ideal for a compassionate educator dedicated to supporting the academic and functional needs of students through social-emotional and behavioral services.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct support in non-academic areas, including counseling, behavioral intervention, and social-emotional development
Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement behavior plans, counseling goals, and strategies aligned with IEP or 504 plans
Regularly communicate with parents and team members to exchange updates and coordinate support services
Conduct assessments and write reports related to student social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
Prepare for and actively participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings related to student programming and services

Requirements:

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
Experience working in school settings preferred
Strong understanding of social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral intervention strategies
Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
